Bennett says: "The Philadelphia weather this August has been surprisingly pleasant, so painting on the porch has been a pleasure. I haven't had to worry about sweat from my forehead dripping onto the work in progress. So far the August 2017 paintings are all acrylic on paper and each is about 12.5 inches square."
Bennett has been busy painting during his August vacation. He says: "Here are three examples of new work, acrylic on paper, each about 14 inches square. They explore the interaction of the unsettled movement of the rectangles and the stability of the defined central form. And, of course, there are the color relationships."
Bennett says: Here are two paintings from December 2016 and one from early January 2017. I used a similar large form as a fundamental element in these paintings, but I used it differently in each. I hope those who view these three paintings find them interesting, lively and fun.
